Friendly staff member welcomed us in just as they were closing. What a surprise and joy when we weee hungry and looking for some good eats! Clean, pleasant smelling and simple, it was pleasant to walk in! Didn’t know what to order so we got the chef to recommend. In summary… a potpourri of flavours well cooked and in a good portion. Spent $28 for two mains and a drink. Very affordable indeed! Note that the soup noodle dishes have minced meat so please order a main meat dish if you’re one for meat. Will return again!
3.5 stars A Burmese cafe. Good for fast and cheap meal. Environment: causal setting. Bright & clean. Not packed. Decor with Burmese related pictures/photos. Pack at street.--- 6.8/10 Service: only 1-2 staff in the cafe. When I entered, no people in the cafe and one girl with smiles came out from the kitchen. Order and pay at the front desk. The girl went back to the kitchen again. Grab all the utensils and seasonings at the self service shelf. Food served one by one fast. --- 6.8/10 Food: simple menu, but barely read the price. Menu with food photos show ~$10 for some dishes. Have another list with different prices for noodles dishes and drinks at the front desk. Good portion. Good value. Normal presentation. - Ong Noh Khauk Swel (Coconut Noodles Soup), ?$12.5: the girl called it Laksa when served. Authentic Burmese soup base. Served with lemon and onions. The soup base was yummy. --- 7.3/10 - Htamin Paung (Rice with meat, Seafood & Vegetables), $10: very good value. Meat can be pork or chicken. There are 3 prawns, 3 squids, fish balls, BBQ pork, tofu, squil eggs, and various vegetables and a bed of rice. Served with shredded cabbage with ketchup. Rice was pretty dry. But plenty of hot sauce was help to soften the rice. Large portion. Very good value. --- 7/10
Absolutely delicious Burmese food, large servings, and lovely staff.
Great little meal here at Mango Cafe. Some delicious Burmese noodles, with great value, in a welcoming environment. The staff are nice and the place is spotlessly clean.
We were pleasantly surprised. If you don't know what to order, the lovely staff are happy to recommend. The food were very tasty and good value for money.
Authentic Burmese cuisine. Cheap affordable, large portions and my meal tje A sown toke was so delicious it was packed with flavour at every bite. My gfs meal the Sichet kawak swel was also packed with flavour and tasted unique to all the other Burmese meals I’ve tried before. Highly recommend this place as it’s some of the best Burmese food in Perth I’ve tried.
Stopped past here. It's a hidden little place. Food was lovely and so filling. My meal was massive and for a drink and meal under $20 was worth it. Will recommend.
